Who I Am

Hey !!
I am Salma Godil (India’s First kelloggs RealChef) and a warm welcome to Salma’s Delight.



I started this blog to share my recipes with friends & relatives, but over time it blossomed into something that is now a huge & very beautiful part of my life.
Smile at people’s face and their empty plates are like a reward for me !!!.
Ever since my childhood, I was always tempted to prepare simple yet delicious food and that’s how I developed my cooking skills. The sudden shift from being dependent on my mom for every meal, to take up the responsibility of preparing scrumptious meals for the entire family was indeed a wonderful feeling. Although, this spearheading had several ups and down but I took them as positives and challenges.
My eagerness to expertise cooking and my family’s support became the perfect formula for my journey.
I love doing normal things in a different way and I follow the same mantra while experimenting with food. I travel and eat at different places to broaden my knowledge for food. Then I try my best to turn out those dishes in the same way in my kitchen.
I attended a few classes from celebrity chefs like Chef Ajay Chopra, Chef Saransh Goila and Chef Sabyasachi Gorai and also in JW Marriot(Mumbai) to enhance my cooking skills.


 I am the national level winner of “Kelloggs Real Chef Contest, 2016”.


Gradually, on people’s demand, I started conducting cooking classes. They had an overwhelming response. My friends and neighbors then started demanding my food for parties. Hesitated to get the same taste in such large quantities, their persistence and confidence in me, made me try to make things much better than my expectation.
I have also collaborated with few food startups as their home-chef.
I even do menu consulting and chef training for restaurants & cafes.
After being awarded as a winner in many food competitions, I also got a chance where the most famous Empire chain of restaurants in Bangalore had put my recipes on their menu.
I am even honored as a brand chef for one of the organic vegetable’s startup.
Throughout the entire journey, I met amazing foodies & conquered many culinary feats in my tiny kitchen.


The Journey has just begun and there are miles to go before I sleep.


I dream to start a cafe and a cooking studio where I could live my passion even more each day.
I strongly believe that cooking is an art and I love to share this art with more people.
