Fried onions or French fried onions are a popular snack food, garnish, or vegetable accompaniment to various recipes like vegetable biryani. Common fried onions are cooked by basic pan frying or sauteing of sliced onions. It is very simple to make. Here we tell you to get perfectly fried onions
- Big Onions – 2
- Corn Flour – 2 Tbsp
- Oil – For frying
- Begin by peeling the onions and slicing very thinly. Separate the onion slices and keep them in a plate. DO NOT WASH ONIONS.
- Put the oil in a frying pan and let it reach to high temperature. High flame for about 10 mins.
- Just before frying, sprinkle corn flour over sliced onions, mix and immediately plunge them into hot oil. Let them fry till they are light golden brown in color. stir occasionally. DO NOT OVERCOOK.
- Once done remove them from oil and put on a big plate. Fiddle just to separate them up and you are done.
