Veg Manchurian

Ingredients –

  • Cabbage – 1 cup (shredded)
  • Carrot – ½ cup (grated)
  • Capsicum – ½ cup (chopped finely)
  • Potato – 1 (boiled & mashed)
  • Cornflour – 2 tsp + 3 tsp
  • Breadcrumbs – 2 tsp
  • Soya sauce – 2 tsp
  • Chilli sauce – 4 tsp
  • Vinegar – 2 tsp
  • Pepper powder – 1  tsp
  • Ajinomoto – 2 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
  • Green chili paste – 1 tsp
  • Spring Onion greens – 1 cup (chopped)
  • Garlic – 2 tsp (chopped)
  • Salt – as needed
  • Oil – to deep fry
  • Red color – a pinch (optional)



Procedure –

  • Add all the above veggies to the mashed potatoes & add half quantities of  all sauces, pepper powder, ginger garlic paste, green chili paste, ajinomoto, cornflour and breadcrumbs.
  • Mix well with hands and form into balls.
  • Deep fry and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a wok, add chopped garlic, saute, then add the mixture of all remaining ingredients and cornflour paste. 
  • Cook until thick and add Manchurian balls. 
  • Stir and remove. 
  • Sprinkle spring onions and serve hot.
